Texas Gas
 |
For
more than half a century, Williams' Texas Gas pipeline has been
safely and reliably delivering natural gas through a 6,000-mile
pipeline system that extends from supply areas in the Louisiana
Gulf Coast and east Texas to markets in the mid-South, lower
Midwest and Northeast. |
Major metropolitan areas served include
Memphis, Louisville, Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Texas Gas is headquartered
in Owensboro, Ky.
The Texas Gas system has a design capacity
of 2.8 billion cubic feet per day and daily seasonal storage capacity
of 55 billion cubic feet.
As part of an ongoing effort to be the
most efficient, cost-effective transporters of natural gas in the
western United States, Williams two Owesboro-based interstate natural
gas system, Texas Gas and Central, combined in 2000 to form a single
operating unit known as SouthCentral. Each pipeline remains a separate
legal entity but share a common management team.
